Villa 25, in Vanuatu and the house of my dreams

Family and I recently went to Vanuatu to escape the Sydney winter. As usual we settled in a resort with a good pool for the children, but this time around we also decided to spend three days in a private villa and experience a more self-governed type of holiday.

We stayed at Villa 25.

The Villa was breathtaking. The architecture was amazing and so was the landscape around us. The experience was so intense that when we returned to Sydney we felt our apartment had lost most of its character.

I have only two architectural notes to add to a place not far from heaven.

Tiles slippery when wet (in proximity of the pool area), is my second point to note. I have come across this problem in many places, but for a place with such high specs a slippage test should have been carried out. I had to watch my toddler like a hawk afraid she would slip and fall into the pool.

Despite the two points mentioned above Villa 25 is an amazing spot; architecture truly inspirational and well worth a stay. I have uploaded several pictures onto my Flickr account. Feel free to see them using the following link.
